Some small breeds are especially well suited to busy family life. They tend to be gentle, patient, and sociable, and they are sturdy enough to handle a household with kids. This collection includes the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Cavapoo, Cavachon, Havanese, Shih Tzu, Bichon Frise, Maltipoo, Cockapoo, Miniature Schnauzer, and Boston Terrier.
Our puppies are socialized with children, adults, and other pets, and our own family helps with that. That early exposure helps them settle into a new home with less stress.
Every puppy is still an individual, and young children and puppies always do best with an adult nearby. If you are considering a short-muzzled breed like a French Bulldog or Boston Terrier, keep in mind they are sensitive to heat during Georgia summers.
Every puppy comes from a trusted local Georgia breeder, spends time in our family home nursery, and gets a complete health check from our on-staff veterinarian.

Frequently asked questions
Which breed is best for a family with young kids?
Cavaliers, Cavapoos, Havanese, and Shih Tzus are popular with families because they are gentle and patient. The best way to decide is to bring the whole family in to meet a few.
Why are Chihuahuas and Yorkies not on this page?
They are wonderful dogs, but their small size makes them fragile around young children. You can find them in our Toy and Tiny Breeds collection.
Are your puppies used to children?
Yes. Our puppies are socialized with children, adults, and other pets before they go home.
Can the whole family come to the showroom?
Please do. Meeting the puppy together is the best way to find the right fit. Book a visit so we can have your favorites ready.
