A Poodle mix pairs a Poodle with another breed, and families love them for good reason. They tend to be smart, eager to learn, and affectionate, and many inherit the Poodle’s low-shedding coat. Do Poodle mixes shed?
Most shed very little, but it varies. Mixes where both parents have low-shedding coats, like the Maltipoo or Shih Poo, usually shed the least. Cavapoos and Cockapoos can vary from puppy to puppy.
How big will my Poodle mix get?
Most of our Poodle mixes grow to roughly 8 to 25 pounds. The biggest factor is whether the Poodle parent is a Toy or Miniature, so ask us about the parents of any puppy you are considering.
How much grooming do they need?
Poodle coats keep growing, so plan on brushing a few times a week and a professional groom every six to eight weeks.
Are Poodle mixes easy to train?
Poodles are one of the smartest breeds, and many mixes inherit that. Short, positive, consistent training sessions work best.
Can I meet them before deciding?
Yes. Visit our Lawrenceville showroom Monday through Saturday from 12 to 7, or Sunday from 2 to 6.
