Cavaliers are free of these flaws and instead shower happiness and affection on their people. If you’re a first-time dog owner, definitely consider a Cavalier! Their intelligence and devotion make them fairly easy to train, which is ideal for new dog owners.
To maintain their coat, brush them thoroughly every week. Wash mud or dirt away with a soft, damp cloth between baths. Expect to bathe your Cavalier routinely as needed, and take them to a groomer for a trim if that is your preference. While a Cavalier does shed in the spring and fall, it is very light shedding and may not even be noticed!
