Temperament & Grooming Needs
Naturally extroverted and intelligent. Despite being a small breed dog, they are very energetic and love to play around in the yard and then come inside to snuggle up to their owner.
Even though they are not big barkers, they are highly protective of their family, so they make excellent watchdogs. They love their families so much that they can become a bit on the clingy side. They have high energy levels and love children and other pets. They are the perfect companion animal for seniors.
Plan on brushing the coat a few times a week and a professional groom every six to eight weeks to keep it free of mats.
