About the Dachshund
The Dachshund is a lively, affectionate, and proud breed. Long-bodied and low to the ground on short legs they still contain a lot of power. Dachshunds make a great addition to any home as the short-haired types require almost no grooming, which makes maintenance fairly easy, and their love and devotion to their family are key to companionship. You’ll adore these long adorable pups as they bring you a lot of joy into your home.
At Sugar Sweet Georgia Puppies, we work with the best breeders to bring you healthy, happy Dachshund puppies. We love matching families with their perfect puppy. Contact our shop in Lawrenceville, GA to get started!

Temperament & Grooming Needs
Lively and affectionate. Proud and bold, almost rash. Tenacious. Can be willful and clownish. Curious and mischievous. Very clever. Devoted to his family. Some fanciers feel the longhaired variety is calmer than the other two types. The wirehaired variety is more outgoing and clown-like.
Grooming is simple: a weekly once-over with a soft brush, nails trimmed as needed, and a quick check of ears and any facial folds.
