Temperament & Grooming Needs

The Cavalier and Shih Tzu both have reputations for being affectionate breeds passing it down to the Cavatzu. They don’t need a lot of exercise and will be happy to play games inside an apartment or in a fenced-in yard. They tolerate the cold more than the heat and are intelligent dogs so they will enjoy training and obedience classes.

Brush two or three times a week and plan on a professional groom every six to eight weeks to keep the coat free of mats.
