From Peachtree Corners, our showroom on Old Norcross Rd in Lawrenceville is about 12 to 13 miles east, roughly 20 to 30 minutes without traffic. Come by, meet small-breed puppies that a veterinarian has already checked, and find a puppy sized for a townhome or a small yard.
Getting here from Peachtree Corners
You have two good choices. Which one is better depends on the time of day.
Surface roads: Pleasant Hill Rd
From the Town Center and Technology Pkwy area, take Peachtree Industrial Blvd north, cut over on North Berkeley Lake Rd to Pleasant Hill Rd, and follow Pleasant Hill Rd east across I-85 to Old Norcross Rd. Turn onto Old Norcross Rd and follow it to the showroom. This is about 12 miles and usually the most direct choice.
Interstate: I-85 North
If you’d rather take the highway, get on I-85 North (for example from Jimmy Carter Blvd). Take exit 106 for GA-316 East, exit at Sugarloaf Pkwy, then take Cruse Rd to Old Norcross Rd. It is a little longer in miles but can be quicker when the surface roads are backed up.
When to come
Without traffic, either route takes about 20 to 30 minutes. I-85 through Gwinnett is heavily used during the morning and evening commute, and Pleasant Hill Rd is lined with shopping centers, so it can be slow at peak times too. A weekday visit soon after we open at noon is usually the easiest. On weekends we are open Saturday 12 to 7 PM and Sunday 2 to 6 PM.
A good fit for how Peachtree Corners lives
If your Peachtree Corners home is a townhome, an apartment or a house with a small yard, and your weeks are busy, a small breed can fit your life well, as long as you choose the right puppy. That is easier to do in person.
- Compare size and energy side by side. Seeing a few small breeds at once shows you more than any chart. Our toy breeds page is a good primer.
- Puppies used to real homes. Before a puppy joins the showroom, it spends time in our family’s home nursery with children, adults and other pets.
- A vet has already done a complete health check. Our on-staff veterinarian examines every puppy, and puppies are up to date on shots. Read more about why vet-supervised buying matters.
- Stop by when it suits you. Walk-ins are welcome during showroom hours, so a long lunch or a free Saturday is enough. Booking a visit is available if you want it.
You can browse puppies by breed before you come.
Bringing a puppy home to Peachtree Corners
The city’s own dog park, and its puppy rule
Peachtree Corners runs the Peachtree Corners Off-Leash Dog Park, behind the CineBistro building near the Town Green. Its rules are worth knowing before you bring a puppy home:
- Dogs under 6 months old are not allowed. Your new puppy will need to wait, so plan on leashed walks for now.
- Dogs 30 pounds and under use the small dog area, which is where nearly every small breed belongs.
- Dogs need current, legally required vaccinations and a collar with a valid license.
- Dogs stay leashed until they are through the fenced entrance.
- Hours are 7 AM to 9 PM, with a Wednesday morning closure from 7 to 10 AM for maintenance.
Gwinnett County park rules on the river and trails
Peachtree Corners has two Gwinnett County parks near the Chattahoochee River: Simpsonwood Park on Jones Bridge Circle, with about 3.1 miles of unpaved trail, and Jones Bridge Park on East Jones Bridge Rd, with river overlooks and open meadow. County park rules require dogs to be leashed everywhere except designated dog park areas. On trails, leashed pets should also be kept right of center. Clean up after your dog every time.
Beyond the parks, Gwinnett County requires a current rabies tag for every dog and cat, and its ordinance requires owners to keep dogs under restraint or control. More is in new puppy rules in Gwinnett County.
Even after your puppy reaches the posted age limit, wait for your veterinarian’s OK on vaccinations before taking your puppy to a dog park, a busy trail or anywhere many dogs visit.

Common questions
How long does it take to get from Peachtree Corners to your showroom?
About 20 to 30 minutes without traffic, covering roughly 12 to 13 miles. Most people take Pleasant Hill Rd or I-85 North to GA-316.
Can my new puppy use the Peachtree Corners dog park?
Not right away. The city’s off-leash dog park does not allow dogs under 6 months old. Once your puppy is old enough and your veterinarian approves, small dogs use the area for dogs 30 pounds and under.
Are your puppies a good fit for a townhome or apartment?
Many small breeds do well in smaller homes, but energy and barking vary by breed and by puppy. Meeting puppies in person is the best way to judge. Our staff can walk you through the breeds we have that day.
Do you deliver to Peachtree Corners?
No. Puppies go home from our Lawrenceville showroom, either the same day or on a scheduled pickup date.
What if the breed I want isn’t in the showroom?
Join our puppy waitlist so you hear when that breed is available.
