Our showroom sits just west of Dacula in Lawrenceville, about 11 miles away by Hwy 316. Without traffic the drive is usually 15 to 25 minutes, and at the end of it you can hold the puppies you have been looking at online, ask our team about their health checks, and take your time deciding.
Getting here from Dacula
Hwy 316 does almost all the work on this trip. From downtown Dacula:
- Head west on Winder Hwy (US-29 Business) and merge onto Hwy 316 West (University Pkwy) toward Lawrenceville.
- Take the Sugarloaf Pkwy exit.
- Turn onto Cruse Rd, then Old Norcross Rd, and look for the showroom at 1848 Old Norcross Rd.
It is roughly 11 miles. On a clear road that is about 17 minutes; we would plan on 15 to 25. If you live out toward Hamilton Mill or Harbins, add a few minutes to reach 316 first.
Hwy 316 is the main commuter road between the Athens side of Gwinnett and Lawrenceville, and it can slow down badly on weekday mornings and again from late afternoon into the evening, especially near the Sugarloaf interchange. The easy window is right after we open at noon on weekdays. Saturdays (noon to 7 PM) and Sundays (2 to 6 PM) are other good options if your weeknights are full.
What you learn in person that a listing can’t tell you
Photos are fine for narrowing down breeds. They can’t show you how a puppy reacts when your youngest sits down on the floor, or whether the one you liked online is the bouncy type or the one that curls up in a lap. That is what the trip is for.
- Puppies that already know family life. Before any puppy joins the showroom, it spends time in our family’s home nursery, where it gets used to children, adults and other pets.
- A veterinarian on our staff. Every puppy gets a complete health check from our on-staff vet and is up to date on shots. Ask us what was checked; that is a normal question here.
- Small breeds only. We focus on small purebred and designer-breed puppies from trusted local Georgia breeders. If you are comparing lower-shedding puppies or teddy bear types, you can see several side by side in one visit.
You do not need an appointment. Walk in any time we are open, or book a visit if you like having a set time. Start with the breeds we list so you know what to ask about.
Bringing a puppy home to Dacula
Learn the dog park rules before your puppy is ready for them
Dacula is in Gwinnett County, and its fenced dog areas run on a posted set of county rules that are worth knowing well before your puppy’s first visit. A few that surprise new owners:
- You must stay with your dog the whole time, and dogs should respond to voice commands.
- No food is allowed inside, for people or dogs, so leave the training treats in the car or keep them out of sight.
- Pinch, prong and spike collars are not allowed.
- If your dog digs a hole, you fill it. Waste goes in the trash cans.
- Dogs that play too rough have to be taken out right away, and dogs must wear a current rabies tag.
Outside the dog areas, pets in Gwinnett parks must be leashed, kept to the right on trails, and are not allowed at playgrounds. For the county’s broader rules for owners, read our guide to new puppy rules in Gwinnett County.
Parks close to home
- Harbins Park is a large Gwinnett County park in Dacula. Its football and multi-use entrance on Indian Shoals Rd has a dog park area, a walking track and a 1.5-mile paved trail, and the main park has a longer 4.3-mile paved trail.
- Dacula Park, off Dacula Rd near downtown, has a pond and a 1.75-mile paved trail. The county closed that trail for renovation this summer, so check that it has reopened before you plan a walk there.
Both are better saved for later. Please wait for your veterinarian’s OK on vaccinations before taking a young puppy to a dog park or any spot where lots of dogs come and go. Until then, your own yard and quiet sidewalks are plenty. Our list of dog-friendly Gwinnett outings has ideas for when your puppy is ready.
What to know before you visit
- Walk-ins are welcome during showroom hours. Booking is there if you want it, but it is optional.
- Pick your go-home day. Your puppy can leave with you the same day, or we can schedule a later pickup date so you can get the house ready first.
- Everything happens at the showroom. We do not deliver to Dacula or meet anywhere off site.
- A hold takes a deposit. See how deposits, holds and pickup work.

Common questions
How long is the drive from Dacula to your showroom?
About 11 miles. Take Winder Hwy to Hwy 316 West, exit at Sugarloaf Pkwy, then follow Cruse Rd to Old Norcross Rd. Plan on 15 to 25 minutes without traffic, longer during the weekday rush on 316.
Can my puppy go to the Harbins Park dog area right away?
Not right away. Gwinnett’s dog park rules require a current rabies tag, and young puppies are not old enough for that vaccine yet. Wait until your veterinarian says your puppy’s vaccinations are complete.
Do we need to book before driving over from Dacula?
No. Walk in any time during showroom hours: Monday to Saturday 12 to 7 PM, Sunday 2 to 6 PM. Booking a visit is available if you prefer.
Can you meet us in Dacula with the puppy?
No. We don’t deliver or meet off site. You pick up your puppy at the showroom, either the day you choose it or on a scheduled pickup date.
